NATALIE WERNER

Natalie Werner is currently working in her newly appointed role as an Alto Vicar Choral at St Edmundsbury Cathedral. Prior to this she spent two years as Choral Scholar at the cathedral, and Musician in Residence at County Upper School where she taught voice lessons and directed the County Upper Chamber Choir. 

Before moving to England in August 2021 to take up these positions she graduated with a Master of Music degree in choral conducting and voice performance from the University of Colorado-Boulder where she served as the assistant conductor of both the University Choir and Women’s Chorus. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Portland in vocal performance and music education where she held a conducting associate position for 3 semesters, conducting both the University Singers and Women’s Chorale. She was also honoured to win the 2018 University of Portland Concerto/Aria competition during her final year of study. 

Outside of her cathedral work, Natalie enjoys soloing with various choral societies in Suffolk and beyond.
